Epergne Victorian Centerpiece c. 1880 Plants Wildflowers Scallop Shell
On offer high Victorian epergne centerpiece c. 1880, which a level made of a large scallop shell for fruit / nuts and a vase for flowers. Gilt brass or bronze throughout in the form of wildflowers -- the base appears to be from castings of begonia leaves, while the vase above is held in place with reeds and small flowers. Stunning.
SIZE: 15" T with vial in place x 7.75" W at broadest
CONDITION: Overall, very good. One sprig of flowers missing, as shown -- otherwise excellent. Presents beautifully.
