On offer oil on board depicting valley fields of corn with rolling hills in the distance, near Woodleigh in Devon, England. A lovely expansive view on a warm, sunny day by Dorothy Whittington titled "Corn fields near Woodleigh."

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Dorothy Whittington lived in Sussex and exhibited in London as a member of the prestigious Royal Institute of Painters, an association of artists composed only of those elected by all artist members. In loose Bloomsbury style, she painted landscapes, interior scenes and figurative works, often on roughly textured board. An assured hand and unerring use of color mark her works.

CONDITION: This presents extremely well, but has some condition issues painting rub in black and red -- pictures show all. Possibly this could be cleaned way.
