Wedgwood Plate World's Colombian Exposition 1893 Chicago Agricultural Building Victorian Devil in the White City
Wedgwood Plate World's Colombian Exposition 1893 Chicago Agricultural Building Victorian Devil in the White City
On offer a Wedgwood plate commemorating the World's Colombian Exposition of 1893 in Chicago. This image shows the Agricultural Building in all of its Daniel Burnham designed glory. The last major Victorian act in American, it ushered in the modern age so beautifully described in "Devil in the White City." Wonderful and rather rare commemorative object -- particularly unusual is the color. These tend to be a black transfer, not this marvelous sepia.
SIZE: 8.25" in diameter
CONDITION: Excellent -- no chips, breaks or other repairs.
